A sumptuous campus
Located in Englefield Green, a 50-minute train ride from London, the campus is built on 54 hectares, with approximately 65% green space. The campus prides itself on being a "countryside campus." Here you'll find an ancient woodland that is home to over 200 species of shrubs, 150 species of trees, and a multitude of flowers. The Founder Building, a stunning structure modeled after a French château, was opened by Queen Victoria in 1886. Today, it accommodates 500 students and also houses a dining hall, a café, a chapel, and an art gallery. You'll find over 110 student societies and 35 sports clubs within the university.
Accommodation in Englefield Green
The university offers a wide range of student accommodation in on-campus residences. You can choose between a shared or single room and have your meals included. The university has just opened 56 new houses that can accommodate up to 600 students. Royal Holloway guarantees a place in a residence to first-year students who accept their offer before the end of June.
The university has a dedicated housing team. This team can also help students wishing to live off campus find accommodation.

Royal Halloway owes its excellent reputation in particular to its geography programs (the best in England) and its courses in Earth Sciences, Psychology, Mathematics, Music, Arts and Theatre, which are in the national top 10.
