After a two-year post-secondary degree
One of the first destinations after a Bac2
The University of South Wales (USW) was one of the first British universities to recognize the French BTS and DUT diplomas. This allows you to enter directly into the third year. This pathway is available in many fields, including business, IT, and engineering. Upon completion of this one-year program, you will receive an internationally recognized diploma, which will allow you to access Master's programs.
It's also worth noting that the University of South Wales offers a wide range of courses at all levels. It's accessible after high school graduation, as well as after a Bachelor's degree. South Wales is a modern and dynamic university, with a strong emphasis on preparing its students for the professional world after they graduate.
A university highly regarded by its students
As evidenced by the many positive testimonials you'll find about the University of South Wales in our student community, you'll quickly understand why USW is a highly regarded institution. The teaching offered is of high quality, and its human-scale campus allows for a personalized experience. South Wales is also an accessible university in every respect. Tuition fees are lower than the national average, and the cost of living in Cardiff is nothing like London or Paris. Finally, Cardiff is very easy to reach from France, and the university is located just a few kilometers from the international airport.
The LUSH GREEN landscapes of Wales
The University of South Wales' main campuses are located in Treforest, Newport, and Cardiff. And if you're a rugby fan, look no further! “Student life (at USW) was very different from what I experienced in France. After my baccalaureate, I did a two-year technical degree (BTS), so I was in a very academic environment. When I arrived at university, the pace was completely different: 12 hours of classes per week (compared to about 35 in the BTS program) and much more autonomy. While 12 hours of classes is good because it gives you free time, there's a reason why: you have to work independently a lot, research certain topics, read articles to prepare for lectures, etc. You work with more autonomy than I had experienced before, but I find that you receive more support from the professors than in France. They are always available to talk, help, and advise us.”
– Manon, a student who left in 2016
