Preparation programs

Foundation year

Foundation Year programs are one-year courses designed to prepare you for higher education in English. The advantages of Foundation Year are numerous; for example, it allows you to avoid repeating your final year of secondary school. You can apply to better universities and acquire new knowledge in your chosen fields of study.

The university also offers a Pre-sessional Programme for Foundation Years. These 8-week courses are designed to help you reach the level required to complete a Foundation Year. You must have a minimum IELTS score of 5.5.

Pre-masters courses

These courses are designed for those who wish to pursue a Master's degree but need to improve their English. They can also serve as a bridge between your Belgian Bachelor's degree and your future British Master's program. A significant advantage is the guarantee of subsequent admission to a Master's program at the University of Southampton, depending, of course, on your progress. This program is reserved for international students!
